3-Year Curriculum

Our 3-year CHSU Doctor of Pharmacy program curriculum allows PharmD students to save on cost of attendance and enter the workforce one year earlier than most PharmD schools. But more importantly, our curriculum prepares students to be competent, compassionate pharmacists who are competitive in the pharmacy field through successful completion of didactic courses, labs, and clinical experiences.

Dr. Koteswara Rao Nalamolu Publishes Research on Stem Cell Treatment for Stroke Brain Injury

Accomplishment

Dr. Koteswara Rao Nalamolu, Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences, recently published an article titled “Stem cell treatment improves post stroke neurological outcomes: a comparative study in male and female rats.” It was concluded that mesenchymal stem cells treatment promoted the recovery of sensory and motor function in both males and females, despite any apparent sex differences in post stroke brain injury.

Dr. Allen Keshishian Participates in Development of NAPLEX Content

Dr. Allen Keshishian, Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences, attended as a volunteer item writer at National Association of Boards of Pharmacy’s (NAPB) North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX®) Item Development Workshop. He was trained and worked with other dedicated pharmacists and faculty to develop content for the NAPLEX exam.

Dr. Vinayak Shenoy to Serve as Director of Assessment

Dr. Vinayak Shenoy, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology, is pleased to accept the role of Director of Assessment for CHSU, in addition to his faculty appointment. In his new position, Dr. Shenoy will play a key role in setting directions for the office of Institutional Assessment, Effectiveness, and Research in support of the University’s mission and strategic initiatives.
